This is one of the very first recipes I began making on repeat in my kitchen in my 20s because it's so simple, actually cost effective, and most importantly, out of this world delicious. Nothing screams winter like a subtly sweet, slightly savory bowl of noodles. This is truly such an easy, customizable recipe - feel free to switch out ingredients based on what you have in stock in your fridge and pantry. Ingredients: 1 bag of your favorite pasta (I recommend fusilli-shaped pasta to soak up sauce in all the spiral edges) 1 whole butternut squash, or 1 bag frozen 1-2 cups milk 1 tsp red pepper flakes (less if sensitive to spice) salt and pepper, to taste 1/2-1 cup shredded Parmesan (although any cheese will do)
